Toyoko Inn, Where to Stay in Kyoto, Japan

Toyoko Inn, Where to Stay in Kyoto, Japan

Toyoko Inn is a massive chain of hotels in #Japan. Commonly used for business or single stopovers, it is equipped with the necessity’s at an #affordable cost. This is an ideal choice where you can spend a #relaxing evening before travelling on.

Small rooms, coma-inducing beds, Millenium Falcon toilets, these seem to be the standard with Japanese business hotels and this one was no exception.

According to my Japanese friend Tom, Toyoko Inn is one of the biggest and most popular business hotel chains in Japan, with over 300 hotels across the country. Not bad, especially for Japan, and a good value for your money.

Hotel Toyoko Inn Kyoto Gojo-Karasuma

 Gojokarasuma-Cho Karasuma-Dori Matsubara-Sugaru 393, Japan, Japan

As mentioned up top, the rooms are small but a good size for couples or single travelers. The bed is very comfortable and the amenities complete. Apart from the vending machines in the lobby where you can buy bottled water, juice, coffee, even beer, there’s also a Family Mart right next door for your convenience.

Location-wise, I’m not too sure if it’s the best, but it isn’t bad either. It’s around a 30-45 minute walk to Kyoto station, with plenty of bus stops and subway stations nearby.

Workstation. A little cramped, but complete.
