As the butanding interaction officer (BIO man) spotted the first shark, he immediately signalled us to get ready to jump and swim. I clambered to put on my mask and my snorkel, and jumped out of the boat, forgetting all the jitters I was feeling. As soon as I bent my head down and looked under the water, I saw the most glorious creature ever. It was as huge as a school bus, I kinda felt terrified, yet it was gentle enough to allow us to swim alongside it and bask in its glory.” – Shawi Cortez

Learning to Ride at Deca Wake Park Clark‎

I remember my first try on DECA Clark in Angeles City Pampanga, for 2-3 hours on the beginners area all I did was smash my face on the water. It takes time to learn it but once you get the right posture on riding the board and the strength to stay longer on your grip. The feeling is super fun and addictive.” – Michael Burns

Why is it one of the ultimate extreme activities in the Philippines?

It’s similar where you feel the impact of waves/snow on your feet but the difference is you have to steer your kite to go where you want to go! If you become really good you can also jump and do tricks with your board.” – Christine Consas

26. White-Water Tubing in the Philippines

...Or on a Tube(Photo Credit: Raymund Peralta‎)

Why is it one of the ultimate extreme activities in the Philippines?

“This one’s kinda unique because you've got no control on anything, the guides are the only ones holding the paddles, you’re just a rider of the tubes (tire interiors). I think it’s more extreme than CDO’s white water rafting because the rapids are very unpredictable, less shallow, meaning faster flow of water means more adventure.” – Cladys Malano

Where to do it:

Maitum, Sarangani Province

Soa, Malinao, Albay

Where to stay:
