10 Things to do With Kids in KL
Our trip to #KualaLumpur as a #family this month was so different to our first trip last year without the kids. To be honest, it was more fun this time around. There are so many things you have an “excuse” to do when you have kids. We've stayed at several hotels in KL, but my favourite was the Traders Hotel. There are plenty of #affordable activities and sights to be visited.
Here is a compilation of the top attractions we visited in KL in order of our favourite.
Where little kids become big kids in a little world built just for them. I can not speak more highly of this place. The kids learnt so much and so did we. We went twice, cause we couldn't finish it all in one day. Tickets are roughly around $15 per adult, 2 & 3 yr olds are roughly around $10 and 4+ are $23. Kids under 2 are free.
2. Elephant Sanctuary
With a side trip to Deerland & Chamang Waterfalls – beautiful, amazing, mostly free day! Feed deer, pat rabbits, ride elephants. Bring your swimmers for a dip with the elephants and at the waterfalls. Deerland was about $7 for all 4 of us, Elephant Sanctuary is free, but you are expected to pay some kind of donation & Chamang Waterfalls is also free.

3. Times Square Theme Park
The kid’s part is fabulous upstairs and adults you can have fun downstairs. Not to mention a roller coaster over several levels of a shopping centre. Ladies, why not leave them with hubby and go shopping! Mon to Fri adults are 38RM ($12), children are 28RM($8), under 2 is free.

4. Petrosains Discovery Centre
So much to touch and do for big kids and little ones. Entry was about $8 per adult, $5 per child 3 – 12 and under 2’s free. It’s closed Monday’s, but open every other day from 9:30am to 5:30pm/6:30pm on weekends.
5. KLCC Playground & Wading Pool
Free play fun that the kids will love for hours! Bring some swimmers for the kids as the wading pool comes in handy in the het of the day. Or go in the evening and then have a picnic by the beautiful water lights display outside Suria mall. Free, free, free!
6. Batu Cave
Let them chase the birds and monkeys, while you admire the sunlight pouring in through the ceiling and the prayers taking place. Another free one!
7. Shopping Malls
Loads of different playgrounds to choose from, some free, some paid for. Near our house alone there was 3 massive shopping centres each with 2/3 play centres. Prices range from $1 to $10.
Great excuse to see all those kids movies you want to see at only $3 a head. For something special try the Platinum Lounges for only $15 each.
9. Genting Highlands
3 parks: outdoor world, indoor world and splash park. Don’t expect too much it’s a little old, but the scenery on the way will be your favourite part.
10. Sunway Lagoon
Sunway Lagoon Adventure in Malayisia
Diving Around Sibuan Island
Expensive, run down, but I hear the actual resort is amazing
Expensive, run down, but I hear the actual resort is amazing, perhaps a special stay would be called for. Entry was 3 Parks - Water Park, Amusement Park & Wildlife Park.
