A Foodie’s Paradise in Brussels
The Belgians know their #unique beers and are praised for their waffles, so I decided to spend my time in #Brussels filling my stomach. There are many different #foodanddrink tours, so I decided on a full culinary tour and a chocolate tour. With a full stomach, I went back to my room at the charming and friendly Metropole Hotel.
For me, traveling to Brussels is a must. The Belgians are known for their delicious food and their great beer. They consistently receive praise for their culinary dishes and sweets, including chocolate and have won many world renowned prizes for their beer. Even if you don’t consider yourself a foodie, you’ll love traveling to what I consider to be the European capital of deliciousness.

One of the best ways to experience Brussels is to stay at a comfortable and historic hotel. You can relax at the Metropole Hotel, a large five-star hotel that offers the best comfort in the city center. The hotel is equipped with a mini-bar, air-conditioning and heaters.

The wait staff is known for being incredibly friendly and the place has a certain charm that will make you smile upon arriving. The hotel also receives top marks for location, as it is located near a metro stop and nearest to the action in the center of the city.

Finding it hard to decide on one or two dishes for dinner? Worry not! Dine on not one, two or even three Belgian dishes - dine on seven dishes during a dinner tour that is highly regarded for tourists to Brussels. If you’re coming here to experience what I think is the European foodie capital, you should experience the Culinary Evening tour.

The three-hour tour takes you to the best places in the city, so that you can experience what makes Brussels so unique. You’ll try Belgian sprouts, frites, mussels, beef stew, artisan cheese and ham, waffles and local wine. No taste bud will go untouched. No flavor will go untasted. During the tour, you’ll be led by a multi-lingual guide who can teach you about the history and culture, show you where the locals go and point out interesting Belgian dining habits. On this tour, you’ll experience Brussels - a place where culture, history and flavours collide.

While the evening food tour is an excellent option for dinner, you’ll definitely want to overindulge on dessert. There is absolutely no better option for this than going on a chocolate tour, and one of the best chocolate tours is the Ultimate Chocolate Experience.

Not only will you get to experience every kind of Belgian chocolate, but you’ll even get a two-hour chocolate massage and be served Champagne and French macaroons. Because, what better way is there to experience chocolate than to be covered head to toe? For 300 Euros you’ll experience an all day tour that uncovers the complexity that is chocolate - you’ll visit a chocolate factory, experience the best chocolatiers in town, discover new and exciting chocolate flavours and learn about the history and culture of the chocolate making process. This tour will satisfy any chocolate addict, there’s no doubt about that.

There is just one more thing for you to enjoy, and that is to try the many different and unique Belgian beers. You can do this on the four-hour Belgian Beer and Brewery Tour, a private tour that teaches you about the brewing process and let’s you sample a whole host of beers. On top of all this, you’ll tour the Cantillon brewery and even learn to brew your own beer. What more could you ask for?
Visiting Brussels has always been a treat for me. I’ve enjoyed its food, its beer and its people. If you’ve never been to Brussels or are returning for another visit, be sure to use this guide - you’ll surely experience the best that Brussels has to offer.
