Chic, Romantic, Magical Paris

Chic, Romantic, Magical Paris

I had a weekend in #Paris, which is never enough time in this amazing city. #Aspirational shopping down streets filled with #luxury boutiques was one of many stops, and I had the best French food, paired with wine of course. But the best part was being in the city close to Christmas, when the market was bustling and I got plenty of things to take home.

Friday

Arriving in Paris on Friday night at Orly Aiport, I booked a Uber through the mobile app in order to go to the hotel. I had booked a hotel room at Sezz Hotel in Paris, in the 16th Arrondissement.

This is a very charming and chic hotel with a view of the Eiffel Tower, a 2 minute walk from the Famous Rue de Passy and from Bir-Hakeim.

As I arrived late and was a bit hungry, I decided to go and find something to eat and have a drink. To do this I decided to book a taxi through Taxi G7. Once the taxi arrived, we drove to Champs Elysées in order to eat at the Drugstore, just nearby the Arc de Triomphe.

After dinner and meeting up with a friend to walk on the Champs Elysées, we decided to head to Restaurant L’oiseau Blanc at the Peninsula Hotel which is situated 5 minutes from the Arc de Triomphe in order to have a nice cocktail on the roof top terrace. This restaurant is simply gorgeous and perfectly situated with a view of the Eiffel Tower.

After some very nice cocktails, I decided to go back to the Hotel by using Uber Chauffeur.

Saturday

What would be better than having breakfast served in your room with nice croissants and café with fresh orange juice to help you to wake up in the magic city of Paris?!

I decided to continue to walk on Boulevard des Capucines which leads you to the extraordinary Opera de Paris.

I decided to enjoy the day and to take a taxi to the well known Faubourg Saint Honoré in order to have a shopping walk before Christmas. All the brands are on that street: Hermès, Christian Louboutin, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Cartier, Chanel, Dior and many others. But in the middle of it, situated on Rue Royale, the Ladurée boutique offers you a large choice of marvelous macaroons, perfect for a small stop.

After the small break in Ladurée, I decided to continue to walk on Boulevard des Capucines which leads you to the extraordinary Opera de Paris, where I met a friend to have lunch.

The place invites you to live in a little dream in the historic environment surrounded by modernity. The restaurant serves you a traditional french cuisine and it's just fantastic.

After lunch, we crossed the street to enter The Galleries Lafayette. This temple of shopping is well known for its wonderful vitrines decorated in collaboration with famous designers, such as Karl Lagerfeld, every Christmas. After hours spent in the shopping area, I decided to head to the hotel in order to get ready for dinner at Hotel Costes.

The hotel is very trendy and chic. You can enjoy nice, sophisticated cuisine accompanied by very good French red wine. The perfect way to end the day with your love.

Finishing our dinner, we decided to move and have a drink at the Kong Bar. Known to host parties, the bar is in a perfect location with a direct view on the Louis Vuitton office and the River Seine.

Sunday

In the morning, I decided to go and visit the Quai D’orsay Museum. The museum, perfectly situated near the Eiffel Tower and the Seine is already nice before you even get inside, due to its surroundings.

Then inside, the museum offers diverse exhibitions depending on the season. After the visit, I decided to walk to the Christmas market on the Champs Elysées. On your way you pass by the Pont Alexandre II bridge, famous for its La Parisienne fragrance advertising by Yves Saint Laurent. Continue walking and you'll walk through Le Grand Palais where Chanel is organizing its gorgeous fashion show.
