Bayside Flyboard, Where you can fly Like Superman and Swim Like a Dolphin
If you are looking for something #active to give you that next #adrenaline rush, Miami has you covered! There are so many #thrilling things to do in this cosmopolitan city and on its beach, including #flyboarding, you will not be disappointed.
Miami has been developing like crazy!
The city has become one of the most bustling business capitals of the United States, which is really reflected in its growth rate. I spend most of my time on the port and I am constantly amazed at how fast it is expanding. There are 30 buildings going up within a two-mile span right now! The city used to be known for its rich Hispanic population. Many Cuban business professionals migrated to Miami after the Cuban revolution. At the time, the Cuban influx really influenced the culture here, but nowadays Miami is truly multicultural with representation of nationalities from all over the world. I guess the best way to describe the vibe of this place is to take all the amazing things about NYC and make it warm.
Many people rave about the nightlife in Miami. There are bars, lounges, salsa clubs, jazz clubs and nightclubs that literally never close. For me, I prefer to get my kicks from extreme sports. There are activities in this part of Florida that you can’t experience anywhere else in the world. For example, Lock & Load Miami offers a high-tech shooting range and is probably the only place I know where you have the choice of 25 fully automatic machine guns. And if you want to get out of the city and see something really mind-blowing you can go 12 miles west to the Everglades where you can board an airboat and search for Florida’s notorious gators! From helicopter tours to yacht rentals to exotic car racing, Miami is the perfect destination for anyone with the need for speed!

I am an outdoors nut, so I love that I get to spend most of my time on a jet ski at Bayside Flyboard. It is probably the most fun water activity you could imagine…that is if you like to fly over the water and swim like a dolphin! We take shuttle boats out to right in front of the American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat basketball team. The water is deep and the photo opportunities are amazing!
Flyboarding in Bayside

Helicopter Tour in Miami
The flyboard is attached to a jet ski by a long hose and the rider is strapped into the flyboard through a pair of boots. The jet ski provides the propulsion to drive the flyboard through the air. Water pressure pushes up through jet nozzles under the boots, which can thrust the rider up a max of 35 feet in the air.
We provide all riders with lessons before each ride.
Though this can be a very daring and impressive activity, safety is my first priority for all of the riders. A lot of people see flyboard riding on YouTube and want to start out doing a bunch of crazy tricks, but it takes much more skill than you would imagine. You have to stand up first and fly. Once you have mastered the basics, you can move on to more of the extreme tricks.
There is nothing better than the look on someone’s face when they first get up in the air. It is like, “Whoah!!! I am flying!!” Then they might overthink it and lose control, which is when my staff and I really come in handy. The jet ski works as the gas and the rider is the driver. Through controlling the throttle we can help coach our riders so that they get the most out of the experience and don’t get hurt. This sport is really gaining international attention. Tricks require quite a bit of practice and skill, but it is mesmerizing to watch someone dive, twirl and flip through the air and water. We have had visitors from all over the world: France, Germany, China, Guatemala…The other day we even had a rider from Zambia! We are located on Biscayne Bay right beside the Bayside Marketplace, which is a very fun entertainment complex with restaurants and shopping.
Miami has come a long way from the iconic neon shirts and white blazers worn on Miami Vice in the 80s. But what have remained intact are the exotic cars, fast boats, beautiful people and vibrant energy that make this a happening place. Just so many things to do here for adrenaline junkies like myself!
