Three, two, one, Sydney!
If you plan on visiting #Sydney, an #adventurous start to your trip is the only way to go. Climb up the Harbour Bridge, escape from a #haunted castle, and top off your tan at the famous Bondi Beach. If being #active on holiday is your thing, head to Sydney as soon as possible.
The first thought that pops into my head about Sydney, Australia, is energy. It’s a place where you go when you want to explore using every bone in your body.

The city, and the rest of Australia for that matter, has experienced quite the foodie boom, but it’s the chase for adrenaline that has tourists returning time and time again.
Finding something to get your blood pumping in the Harbour City isn’t hard, but choosing between them is. Surfing, skydiving, 4x4 tours, mountain climbing, shark-cage diving… the possibilities are endless. And so is accommodation.

After browsing through the massive selection of hotels and hostels on Yonderbound.com, I settled on a room in the Capitol Square Hotel.

Capitol Square is quite central and offered all the amenities (Wi-Fi is a must, man) that I needed. It also offers safe parking, an airport shuttle and a restaurant offering breakfast (another must).
The best way to introduce yourself to Sydney (or any urban jungle for that matter) is by getting a bird’s eye view of it. So I decided to acquaint myself with the city by climbing up a bridge and in Sydney, there’s only one worth the climb: the Harbour Bridge. Going at this alone is obviously not the smartest move, but luckily you can book a guided climb.

The professional guides at Bridge Climb will prep you with health and safety regulations and you’ll get kitted out in all the necessary climbing gear. You’ll connect yourself onto the safety line and make your way through a tunnel to the bridge’s foundations.

Depending on the climb you choose, you will eventually make it to the summit of the bridge. Here you can enjoy the view and have your climb leader take a picture or two.
When you’re back on the ground you can also have a look at the interesting exhibits at the Harbour Bridge’s visitor centre. Remember to pack your sunnies, some water and comfy shoes.
After giving my muscles a workout it was time to test my grey matter. Mission Room Escape is probably the most enjoyable way to get your thinking cap on.

With Mission Room Escape, you and your party are locked in a room and you need to escape using the clues hidden around you. By using gears, lasers, special effects and other forms of automation the guys at Mission Room Escape dump you right in the middle of your own adventure.
Depending on the theme, you can play in groups of 2 to 9. The Vampire Castle theme is great for a small group and it only took us 44 minutes to escape. You have an hour to figure out the clues. The Dr. M theme is apparently a bit harder to crack, but you get more time and you can bring along more friends.

With the adrenaline fix in, we headed to the famous Bondi beach to swim and relax. A girl needs her downtime as well…
