Hotel Review: Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel & Spa

Hotel Review: Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel & Spa

They say everything's bigger in #Texas. Well, that's true, and definitely the case in Fort Worth. The hotels are big, the highways are big, and the hair, well, that's big too. We chose one of those big hotels hoping to find a bit of #relaxation, and the Sheraton delivered. It also helps that it sits a touch outside of downtown (so your nights are quieter) and right across from some of the city's #unique water gardens.

The Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa is located on the edge of downtown Fort Worth just off the highway.

The hotel is walking distance (15 minutes) to Sundance Square and Fort Worth’s Historic Cowtown Coliseum (located in the Stockyards).

The Fort Worth Water Gardens (a must see if you’re first time Fort Worth visitor) is located right across the street from the Sheraton.

This is a popular hotel for large groups. The hotel was sold out the weekend I visited with the majority of travelers being either business people, wedding parties or families in town for a dance team competition.

I had a room in the South Tower looking out onto the railway which worried me at first but I was so exhausted by the time I got into bed, if the trains were running in the morning I didn’t hear them.

Dining Options

There is one restaurant and bar onsite at the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel. I didn’t have a chance to check out the dining room, but I did order room service for breakfast one morning – arrived on time and warm, no complaints!

Getting Around Town

If you want to forego renting a vehicle and don’t feel like walking in the heat, you can hop aboard Molly the Trolley for free and get to most of Fort Worth’s top attractions in a matter of minutes. The trolley has a pick up spot right outside the Sheraton.

Overall Impressions

The Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa is a good option for families or travelers who want to be close to downtown but not in the heart of the city.

They have stuff like this everywhere

The location is great for those who need to be in the convention center area for sports competitions, conferences, and meetings.

The hotel staff are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable.

The biggest draws (in my opinion) for the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel are the water gardens across the street and the complimentary transportation via Molly the Trolley.

If you’re looking for a mega luxury experience, this is not the place for you. However if you’re looking for a clean and comfortable hotel in a convenient location, the Sheraton Fort Worth fits the bill.
