Diving Little Corn: What an Adventure!
YES. Crystal clear Caribbean waters, and lots and lots of nurse sharks, and we are swimming in the middle. If you want an #active adventure and fancy #diving among some of #nature's finest , then head straight to Little Corn in #Nicaragua.
Diving Little Corn; What an Adventure!
Another beautiful dive site with larger marine life than Roatan.
The crystal clear Caribbean waters provide great visibility whilst diving Little Corn, and this was the first place we came face to face with a shark! A 7ft nurse shark was asleep under a rock, it was only later we realized he had no teeth (being a nurse shark), so during the dive we thought this was a very real shark, with very real teeth!

Beth was oblivious whilst I was trying to point out the 7ft shark, sitting just 2 meters away from her right arm. She got quite a shock when she looked up and quickly tried to hide behind me.
Diving With Dolphins
Masaya Volcano and Local Tour
The coral reef is more sparse here than in Roatan, but there are still some beautiful parts of coral reef at some sites. There are tons of nurse sharks here so you’re almost guaranteed to get a close encounter, and if you’re lucky you might catch a glimpse of some small hammerhead sharks here.
We also saw a few small turtles, but the real highlight were the eagle rays, such beautiful creatures that glide so effortlessly through the water.

Getting there is a little tricky.
We caught a flight from Managua to Big Corn ($60) and then a panga across to Little Corn. The island has a rustic feel, as it plays home to just 800 permanent residents, providing that real authentic Caribbean vibe. There are no cars on the island, and the whole place can be navigated in a few hours. There are two dive shops on the island and after diving with both we would recommend Dolphin Dive as the better one. Adam is a good guy and is happy to help you out, and Gary is a great diver to go out with. He knows the sites so well, and is great at finding the things you want to see.
