Rotterdam, the City That Fits us all

Rotterdam, the City That Fits us all

If you happen to be in #Netherlands do not even question coming to #Rotterdam. This city that is so easily explored by #bike definitely deserves your attention. It holds unique places like Markthal that you have to visit at least once!

I went to Rotterdam and I was totally amazed by its atmosphere, architecture and high variety of activities one can do. There is a great combination of old and new buildings, which makes it attractive to everyone.

We rented a bike through BimBimBikes, an online bike rental platform where you can easily rent your bike online at different local bike rental points. We are interested in architecture and in good food, so we combined these two in a cycling tour.

We started at the Central Station and went to Rotterdam West. Here you can find the Euromast, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, and Het Nieuwe Instituut. From there on, we went to the city center, where you can visit the Markthal (ofcourse), Cube houses, and the weekly market at Blaak. This market takes place on Tuesdays and Saturdays and you can buy many cheap food there. It’s definitely something to recommend! At the Markthal, you can do a guided tour. This way, you can learn everything about this interesting building! You can book these tours at De Rotterdam Tours.

What is also worth a visit, is the Oude Noorden (Old Northern part of Rotterdam). Here, you can find the famous fountain Hofplein, the Nieuwe Delftse Poort and some great local shops. Go to Lof der Zoetheid, Brood, or maybe an international restaurant. And if you are already in Rotterdam Oude Noorden, maybe going to the zoo is a nice option for you. Blijdorp is open all year long and if you buy your tickets online, you get €3 discount!

I wish you all the fun in the world while discovering the beauty of Rotterdam. Kop van Zuid is also worth a visit, let’s see if you are able to cycle over the Erasmusbridge!
