What you will do

A walk along some of the small Shan villages adjacent to Hsipaw is a pleasant experience to feel the local way of live. The easy and relaxing walk of 3 hours brings you on clear and flat paths passing by tidy houses and gardens but also fields. The walk is recommended in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset on the surroundings.

You reach the Mahamuni Pagoda passing by the Hsipaw main road. Starting the Pagoda, you successively cross the villages of Tain San, Tain Chay, Man Minn, Khun Kyaung. It gives you the opportunity to see the local villages life and daily activities.

You will pass by some small family workshops as cheroot fabrics, wood carving. You will also see activities along Dotthawaddy river. You will then pass through paddies fields before to reach the next villages of Nawk Kup, Nar Lin. Sun flowers, Soya Beans, water melons are also widely present among the plantations. In the late afternoon, depending on the weather, you will assist to the sunset over the mountains range surrounding the area before to reach the last village of Ma Hei, our ending point. From Ma Hei, the car will send you back to Hsipaw in the evening.
