What you will do
Experience Western Canadian on a one day return tour from Vancouver to Whistler. Ride the scenic Sea to Sky Highway, one of the most scenic drives on Earth, hugging the British Columbia Coast with stunning vistas over the island dotted Pacific Ocean.
Traveling from Vancouver to Whistler on the Moose bus takes about 3 hours each way and offers 4 hours in Whistler. Enjoy hiking, sightseeing, adventure activities and time to explore the famous Whistler Village.
The Moose bus stops along the way for short hikes at 2 of British Columbia’s most impressive waterfalls – Shannon Falls and Brandywine Falls. Once in the Whistler Village you can choose to try any of the optional activities, such as hiking, mountain biking, Peak to Peak gondola, Bungee, or a Zipline tour.
Departing Vancouver we’ll travel across the historic Lions Gate Bridge built in 1937 by the famous Guinness family (the beer makers and world record keepers). Get great views over Stanley Park, The Burrard Inlet and Vancouver’s skyline before escaping into the mountains. Heading north on the Sea to Sky highway we’ll stop for a short hike to see the 335m high Shannon Falls (keep your eyes peeled for rock climbers on the steep rock faces). Enjoy British Columbia’s best coastal scenery on the Sea to Sky Highway with impressive views over the island-scattered West Coast. Stopping at the Stawamus Chief in Squamish, we’ll see the world’s 2nd largest granite monolith as it towers 700m over the bright blue/green waters of Howe Sound. As the bus winds it’s way towards Whistler you’ll be surrounded by jagged mountain peaks and sparkling glaciers. Arriving in Whistler Village you will have 4 hours to explore the village and/or try one or more of the adventure activities that makes this destination so famous. Optional activities: hiking, mountain biking, Peak to Peak gondola, Bungee, or a Zipline tour. Some activities have an extra cost, but with us, you get a discount! On the trip back from Whistler to Vancouver we’ll take a 45 min hike to visit the impressive Brandywine Falls and views of the surrounding lakes. As the sun starts to fall into the Pacific Ocean, you’ll see silhouettes of Vancouver Island, Salt Spring Island and the archipelago of Gulf Islands extending down into the United States. Keep an eye out for a glimpse of Mt Baker standing 3,286 m tall in neighboring Washington State, USA. Arriving back into Vancouver by 7.30pm you’ll have time to grab dinner and, if you’re not completely exhausted, hit the town to finish off an epic day exploring Canada’s (best) west coast.
